December 1 Holiday Concert

Friday | 12.1.17 | 8:00 PM
St. Paul's Church, 315 West 22nd Street

The Chelsea Symphony's one-night-only holiday concert features comedian Judy Gold special guest narrator in a beloved annual TCS tradition, the performance of resident composer Aaron Dai's The Night Before Christmas.

The concert opens with two festive brass works by two generations of Mozarts featuring Warren Wernick on flugelhorn. The Reinecke Flute Concerto featuring Dirk Wels, and the smoldering Moldau by Smetana close out the first half. The concert continues with Tzigane by Ravel featuring violinist Megan Hilands. This year TCS is thrilled to present another celebrated tradition, our annual performance of Sleigh Ride, this year guest conducted by the winning bidder of the 2016-17 holiday auction, and a person very close to the orchestra, Pam Aubin!

A silent auction in support of the orchestra will take place before the downbeat and during intermission, concluding during a festive wine reception following the concert.

Start your holiday season with TCS!

Concerts will be held at St. Paul's German Lutheran Church, 315 West 22nd Street
