Pamela Welz Aubin, has been a strong advocate of The Chelsea Symphony over the past several years. Prior to her retirement in 2014, she exerted her leadership as Superintendent of Schools in both Norwich and Montville Connecticut to ensure that students received a broad curriculum which included choral and instrumental music from the earliest years. As a young person, Pamela studied piano through her college years at the University of Connecticut. Conducting one of her holiday favorites, Sleigh Ride, allows her to take a more participatory role in TCS at a very special time of the year.

Mrs. Aubin resides in Norwich, Connecticut with her husband, Gerard. She is the mother of three children: Matthew, Jonathan and Elisabeth. Pam is an avid gardener. In addition, she volunteers for the Norwich Education Foundation to promote and provide financial support to further educational opportunities for students in preschool through 8th grade in the Norwich Public Schools, including the school music program.

As the doting grandparent of one child, Vivian, she looks forward to a very special new year with the imminent arrival of three new grandchildren.
