2021-22 Season + Concerts

We are thrilled to come together with you for The Chelsea Symphony’s 2021-22 concert season, Reunited. Each program this season responds in a different way to the past unprecedented year. We celebrate the joys of being back on the town and remember those we have lost; we find solace in nature, strength in diversity, and inspiration in resilience.

#MeetTheChelseaSymphony

During this time when we couldn’t be together, we have been busy with an exciting project with support from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and in partnership with the NYC Department of Correction. Over the next few months, The Chelsea Symphony will be releasing short videos highlighting the orchestra. Some will feature music, while others will be about TCS‘s unique model.

Happy Trails!

I am honored to have served for 7 years as President + Executive Director - I won't be a stranger but am passing the torch of leadership to the TCS board and interim ED Stephen McDougall Graham. Thank you for the music and the memories!

Welcome back Miguel + Yaniv!

TCS is thrilled to welcome back founders Miguel Campos-Neto and Yaniv Segal as conductors laureate and in advisory roles to the orchestra!

One Year in the Life of TCS

On our one year coronaversary, we are long overdue in reaching out to say hello during these extraordinary times filled with so much extra, so much less, and so much ordinary all at the same time.

2019-20 Composition Competition Results

Congratulations to Sam Wu for Windmap, the winning entry of our 2019-20 Composition Competition, and to our two finalists, Bobby Ge for Escaping Continuum and She Was There, Too, by Alexis Lamb!

International Women's Day 2020

The March series "Songs of Hope" celebrate the American experience, living composers, and International Women's Day. We hope you join us on March 6-7 for this special concert!

Soloist Spotlight: Jessica Santiago

Hornist Jessica Santiago makes her TCS solo debut on Michael Boyman's Concerto for Two Horns and Wind Ensemble on March 6 and 7. A fantastic performer, pedagogue, and person, learn about Jessica before attending this world premiere performance!

Composer Spotlight: Michael Boyman

Michael Boyman's Double Concerto for Two Horns and Wind Ensemble is a celebration of idiomatic writing for the horn, from its legacy of heroic fanfares to beautiful chorale writing and sends up its hunting horn past with a cheeky look at the darker side of the woods. It receives its world premiere performance on March 6 and 7!
