Fred Chu, a New York City-based cellist, joined The Chelsea Symphony in 2021. He earned his BM in Cello Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied under Marion Feldman. Currently, Fred is a full-scholarship student at St. John's University School of Law, where he has contributed as an advocate in the Refugee and Immigrant Rights Litigation Clinic and as a staff member for the St. John's Law Review. Upon graduation, Fred will be joining a full-service international law firm as an Associate in their New York City office. In addition, Fred's diverse background includes serving as a Paramedic in New York City from 2015 to 2022. In his spare time, Fred plays an unfortunate amount of Ultimate Frisbee and enjoys meandering around Brooklyn with his dog, Margo. Fred continues to advance his cello studies under the tutelage of Daniel Gaisford.
