Trumpeter Warren Wernick has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and beyond. He is a founding member of The Majestic Brass Quintet and held the position of principal trumpet with the New Philharmonia of Portugal from 1987-90. Mr. Wernick has been heard with many of the leading community orchestras in New York City. The list of community and professional ensembles he has performed with over the years continues to grow. To date he has played at least one concert with: The Greenwich Village Orchestra, The Summit Symphony, The New Amsterdam Symphony, The Riverside Orchestra, Broadway-Bach Ensemble, The Park Avenue Chamber Symphony, The Goldman Band, The Gramercy Brass, The Doctors Orchestra, The Brooklyn Symphony, The Westchester Opera, The Academy Brass, Musica Bella Orchestra, The New York Chamber Orchestra, The Mannes Community Orchestra, Gotham Winds and the fictional New York Symphony as featured in Amazon’s hit series “Mozart In The Jungle." More recently he has stepped into the role of conductor with The WW Ensemble, a woodwind ensemble dedicated to presenting new and rarely played music for that combination of instruments. Mr. Wernick is also a noted arranger and published composer, mainly for winds and brass. Many of his arrangements and compositions for brass are available from Art of Sound Music (www.artofsoundmusic.com). His most recent publication, the long awaited “Music for Ten Trumpets” (1984) was recently added to that catalog. Mark Gould, the dedicatee of the work wrote, "Warren Wernick writes music that is beautifully crafted and fun to play. Mr. Wernick's compositions are powerful and at the same time cleverly express his wry sense of humor.”

Mr. Wernick was a scholarship student at the Juilliard School of Music where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. His studies included trumpet performance with Mark Gould, William Vacchiano and Mel Broiles. He has been a member of The Chelsea Symphony since 2007. This is Mr. Wernick’s fourth time as featured soloist with TCS, previously performing works by Telemann, Francheschini, Manfredini and Schubert.
