Sue Rangeley was born in England and received her musical education at the Royal Northern College of Music, gaining her L.R.A.M Performer’s Degree from the Royal Academy of Music at the age of fifteen. In London she has performed with the Salomon Orchestra, Chelsea Opera Group and Haydn Chamber Orchestra, and since moving to New York she has performed with numerous chamber music groups and orchestras in Manhattan, including The Chelsea Symphony, Mimosa Chamber Ensemble, Park Avenue Chamber Symphony Orchestra, New York Repertory Orchestra and the New York Bar Association, Stringendo and Glencorse Chamber Music series. Sue has also been a member of the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, and has performed as a guest artist at the Hoff Barthelson Music School Faculty concerts with David Oei and Eriko Sato, the Washington Square Music Festival since 2015, and David Oei’s Classical Salon concerts since 2017. In December 2023 she performed at Carnegie Weill Hall for the Alaria Chamber Ensemble 40th anniversary concert.

Sue has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and has worked as a Director of Banking technology in the UK, US and Hong Kong, most recently as the Chief Operating Officer of Technology Operations for HSBC Bank in New York. She is also an avid hiker, cyclist, bridge player and traveler.
