Juliana Pereira
A New York City native, Juliana began playing the violin at the age of 3 at the School for Strings in Manhattan where she is currently a member of the Board of Trustees. As an undergraduate at Brown University, Juliana was the concertmaster of the orchestra and frequent soloist. She also served as co-concert master of the Sorbonne University Orchestra in Paris while studying abroad. Juliana has performed with orchestras and ensembles throughout the U.S., U.K., Canada, France, and Brazil. In New York City she has performed at Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Symphony Space, along with solo appearances at Weill Hall, Merkin Hall and Steinway Hall. Juliana is a passionate chamber musician and has performed with chamber groups throughout the U.S. and in Europe. In 2016 she founded the Stringendo Chamber Players and organizes performances at the School for Strings. Juliana has been a proud member of The Chelsea Symphony since 2010 and is thrilled to have the opportunity to perform another solo with the orchestra. Outside of music, Juliana is an avid runner, having completed 5 marathons in 3 countries. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees at the New York Women's Foundation where she has been volunteering since 2010. Juliana has 20 years of experience working in digital media and marketing and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Trustmi, a tech startup headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel. Juliana holds a B.A. from Brown University and M.A. from the New School.
