Jessica Lightfoot

Violin

Hailing from New Zealand, Jessica Lightfoot studied performance violin at the University of Auckland and later gained a Master of Music in musicology from the same institution. She has pursued a career in arts administration, currently as Manager of Programs and Development at Concert Artists Guild, and previously at the Orchestra of St Luke’s and Chamber Music New Zealand. She is passionate about inclusion in the arts for all people.

Jessica has performed with ensembles in New Zealand including the Wellington Chamber Orchestra, Bach Musica, and Pipers Sinfonia and, as a baroque violinist, with NZ Barok and the Age of Discovery. She also sings as an alto with Downtown Voices choir based at Trinity Church Wall Street, and has been a member of the award-winning New Zealand Youth Choir and Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir. Her orchestra and choir involvement has seen her perform in Australia, the UK, Spain, the Netherlands, Canada, Argentina, China, South Korea, and Singapore.

Jessica has been a member of the Chelsea Symphony since 2015 and is delighted to be making her orchestral solo debut with the orchestra.
