Emily DiAngelo played with The Chelsea Symphony from 2007-2012 and is thrilled to be returning this year as a soloist. She is currently on the oboe faculty at Cornell University, Hamilton College, and the Luzerne Music Center, and is a candidate for the Doctor Of Musical Arts degree at Manhattan School of Music. Emily has performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Symphoria, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, The West Point Army Band, Tri-Cities Opera, Rochester Chamber Orchestra, and more. She has recorded with multifaceted artists including jazz trumpet player Dominic Faranacci, the West Point Army Band, award-winning folk singer/songwriter Emily Mure, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Robert Spano. As a strong advocate for newly-composed music, Emily founded the Ithaca New Music Collective in 2015, a group of musicians passionate about bringing music written by composers from Cornell University, Ithaca College, and the Ithaca, NY community to popular drinkeries in the Ithaca area. Emily's teachers include Robert Botti, Paige Morgan, Daniel Stolper, Louis Rosenblatt, and Lloyd Shorter.
