His arrangements, many of which were created in collaboration as assistant to Caroline Shaw, have been performed by ensembles such as BBC Radio Orchestra, Paris Philharmonic, Houston Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and more.

As a bassist he has appeared on many recordings, including the grammy winning “Dame Ethel Smyth ‘The Prison’ by Experiential Orchestra and Chorus, James Blachly”, performed at Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Hollywood Bowl, and Town Hall, with ensembles such as Roomful of Teeth, Attacca Quartet, SO Percussion, Locate S,1, Moth Eggs, Loftopera, The Chelsea Symphony, and many more.

Upcoming albums “COMPUTER MUSIC (for humans)” and “Afrodita” feature extended just intonation programmed in pure data, with “Afrodita” featuring a granular-processed choral sung in the original Greek by friend Alena Spanger.

In his free time, Ben enjoys studying the Shakuhachi and oil painting, and admiring triangles and the color green.
