Celebrate the season with The Chelsea Symphony! This year’s holiday concert features Duke Ellington’s jazzy arrangement of a seasonal favorite, the Nutcracker Suite; comforting classics by Sergei Prokofiev and Cécile Chaminade; and a rarely heard gem by William Grant Still. The evening concludes with two beloved TCS holiday traditions: Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride and Aaron Dai’s The Night Before Christmas.

Sarah Abrams is a New York City based flutist. In addition to flute and piccolo, Sarah doubles on multiple woodwind instruments. She currently freelances in the city in a wide array of ensembles, performing with various pit orchestras, institutions, and orchestras, including the Chelsea Symphony.

Violinist Veronica Carpenter is an impassioned performer and music educator based in New York City. Throughout her career, she has performed with groups such as the Flagstaff Symphony and the Phoenix Symphony and has shared the stage with many musical greats including Andrea Bocelli, Rachel Barton Pine, and Chris Thile. In 2018, her sextet curated a full-length recital at the Boston Sculptors Gallery, performing the Frank Bridge sextet and Schoenberg’s Verklaerte Nacht. Mark Seto leads a wide-ranging musical life as a conductor, scholar, teacher, and violinist.
