The finale to TCS' twelfth season, Sea Change, features Respighi's ebullient Pines of Rome alongside the NYC premiere of Skyward! by Jonathan Bruce Brown.
In support of TCS' mission to promote contemporary works, the winning piece of the TCS 4th annual Composition Competition will also be featured on both concerts.
Saturday's concert presents a full spectrum of works for double reeds: Victor Bruns' Contrabassoon Concerto, performed by Susanne Chen and the Canzonetta by Samuel Barber with oboist Sarah Scruby. Sunday's matinee concert rounds out our season with the beloved Violin Concerto by Erich Korngold featuring Emanouil Manolov.
Concerts will be held at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 West 37th Street
